The behavior of a type-II superconductor Nb in a magnetic field as investigated in polarized-neutron transmission experiments
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nucl. Res., Dubna (Russian Federation). Frank Lab. of Neutron Phys.
Description
The type-II superconducting polycrystal Nb was investigated on the SPN-1 polarized-neutron spectrometer at the high-intensity pulsed reactor IBR-2 at Dubna. In polarized-neutron transmission experiments the magnetic-field dependence of the neutron beam polarization was measured. Experiments were performed over a wide magnetic-field range from 0 to Hc2 at a temperature of 4.8 K. A quasiperiodic variation of the neutron depolarization as a function of magnetic-field strength was observed. (orig.)
