A semi-empirical formula on the pre-neutron-emission fragment mass distribution in nuclear fission

Description
A 5-Gauss semi-empirical formula on the pre-neutron-emission fragment mass distribution is given. The absolute standard deviation and maximum departure between calculated values and experimental data for (n,f) and (n,n'f) fission reactions from 232Th to 245Cm are approximately 0.4% and 0.8%, respectively. The error will get bigger if the formula is used at higher excitation energies
