Three-dimensional potential waves in magnetoactive plasma waveguides

Description
The influence of final magnetic field and radius of homogeneous plasma waveguide on dispersive properties of three-dimensional potentional waves in the plasma waveguide is considered. Conditions of their excitation by an electron beam at the Cherenkov resonance are investigated. The dispersive properties of axial-symmetric and nonsymmetric waves with azimuthal numbers m=±1 are studied. Mechanisms of synchronism maintaining between the beam and the excited wave are determined. The methods for providing a monomoding character of wave generation in the plasma waveguide and an increase of the efficiency coefficient of beam-plasma interaction are indicated
