Electronic properties and phase transitions in the Mo-chain compound Mo2S3
- 1. Nebraska Univ., Lincoln (USA). Behlen Lab. of Physics
Description
The results of electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, and Raman scattering measurements on the Mo-chain compound Mo2S3 are presented. Phase transitions are observed in this material at temperatures of 182K and 145K on cooling from room temperature. These transitions show considerable hysteresis, occurring at 198K and 180K, respectively, on warming from low temperatures. A third phase transition is indicated by a large peak in the resistivity at 80K. (author)
