Effect of crystal orientation on scattered ion energy
Description
Results of experimental study of the effect of molybdenum crystal orientation on energy of Cs scattered ions are presented. Samples with (001) and (110) facels with <001> and <110> crystallographic directories along the trajectory of bombarding ion were taken as targets under investigations. The obtained results testify to the influence of atom position in lattice surface layers on reflected particle energy. Theory of series binary collisions is not applicable to description of heavy slow ion scattering by light targets, and the mechanism of multi-particle interaction showed be developed
