Cluster states in 24Mg and 28Si

Description
New measurements are reported on the breakup of 24Mg to 12C+12C and of 28Si to 12C + 16O. A rich spectrum of cluster states is observed, ranging over a wide excitation energy region. These data are compared with measurements using different reactions and discussed in the context of current theoretical models
