Description
This paper presents different options for post combustion carbon capture based on Powerspan and Alstom ammonia technologies. The flow sheet of typical for 'Maritsa East' plants is simulated with appropriated computation tool. The effect on the power plant economy is analyzed when ammonia and amine with different regeneration energy are applied. The calculation results of Alstom's chilled ammonia process demonstrate better performance than advanced amines based carbon capture. (authors)
