Description
To develop a sensitive and specific RIA for interleukin-10 (IL-10) and apply it in clinical research , IL-10 was injected into rabbits. A high sensitive and specific antibody against IL-10 was obtained. 125I-IL-10 was prepared by Iodogen method and purified by Sephadex G-50. The plasma IL-10 level in the healthy volunteers and depression patients before and after treatment was determined by RIA. Result s showed that the IL-10 measurement range was 5-12.5 ng/mL. The plasma IL-10 level of the volunteers was 28.0 ± 8.9 ng/mL. The IL-10 level (28.4 ± 13.2 ng/mL) of depression patient s after treatment was significantly higher than that (25.3 ± 11.1 ng/mL) before treatment. This developed assay may be a useful technique for related research and clinical application of IL-10. (authors)
