Probe for the continuous detection of water penetrating into the liquid sodium and for determining the concentration of hydrogen in the liquid sodium, principally in the steam generators of modular type fast reactors

Description

The probe is fitted with a diffusion membrane in iron having an impurities content of 0.013 to 0.015% of carbon, 0.005% maximum of silicon, 0.17 to 0.03% manganese, 0.005% phosphorus, 0.025% maximum sulphur and 0.01 to 0.05% copper. This membrane is welded by electron beam to a stainless steel connecting tube drilled with a number of holes enabling the hydrogen in the sodium to be diffused by the connecting tube between the electrodes of the ion pump

La sonde est munie d'une membrane de diffusion en fer ayant une teneur en impuretes de 0,013 a 0,015% de carbone, 0,005% maximum de silicium, 0,17 a 0,03% de manganese, 0,005% de phosphore, 0,025% maximum de soufre et 0,01 a 0,05% de cuivre. Cette membrane est soudee par faisceau d'electrons sur un tube de liaison en acier inoxydable perce d'une quantite d'orifices permettant la diffusion de l'hydrogene du sodium par le tube de liaison entre les electrodes de la pompe ionique
