SU(2)xU(1)xU(1) and Glashow-Manohar monojets
Description
I show that the monojet events observed at CERN can arise from Z decay into a light neutral gauge boson, Z', and a still lighter Higgs boson, h'.Z' and h' are both associated with an extra U(1) factor in the electroweak gauge symmetry group under which normal matter transforms trivially. Because the Z' couples to normal matter only through its mixing with the Z, its effects on the usual electroweak phenomenology are very small. The resulting phenomenology of the monojets is similar to the Glashow-Manohar scheme. (orig.)
