Radio frequency system for INDUS-I (Paper No. CP 38)

  • 1. Centre for Advanced Technology, Indore (India)

Description

The INDUS-I synchrotron radiation source consists of a 20 MeV microtron injector, a 700 MeV booster synchrotron and a 450 MeV storage ring. The circulating electrons in the synchrotron and storage ring radiate energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation. The radio frequency system provides energy for the acceleration as well as to compensate for this radiation loss. This radio frequency system for booster synchrotoron and storage ring which consists of a frequency synthesizer, 200 watts solid state driver amplifier, the main power amplifier, RF cavity, control and interlock systems is described.
