Analytical solution for total nuclear energy loss distributions at low energies

Description

The distribution of total nuclear energy loss of energetic particles after passage through thin layers of matter has been solved analytically and compared with experimental data. Comparison of the experimental energy loss distribution of 400 keV 82Pb+ → H2 (5.4x1017 molecules cm-2) with analytical distribution shows good agreement
