Training and qualification of NDE personnel in the detection and sizing of IGSCC
Description
The need for well trained NDE personnel and accurate documentation of their qualifications is becoming more evident in the nuclear power industry. As part of its total NDE training program, the EPRI NDE Center has developed two 40 hour courses for the Detection and Sizing of Intergranular Stress Corrosion Cracking (IGSCC). ASME Section XI requirements and recognition by the NRC of the importance of operator qualifications are two of the major factors in the development of these training programs
