Comparison of evaluation of vascular with CT angiography and MR angiography

  • 1. Kumamoto Univ. (Japan). School of Medicine

Description

To assess the value of CT angiography and MR angiography in the evaluation of aortic, peripheral arterial and portal venous disease, we retrospectively evaluated 136 patients (85 males and 51 females, age range: 9-83 years old). In both modalities, 3D imaging could be obtained. For aortic diseases and renal artery diseases, CT angiography provided better information than MR angiography. For peripheral arterial diseases and portal venous diseases, MR angiography was better. In both modalities, more detailed information could be obtained with axial images. (author)
