Description

Refinery facilities can be surveyed and leak tested on-stream (in situ) by monitoring the increased concentration of hydrocarbons in the surrounding of critical equipment with a portable, intrinsically safe flame ionization detector. Potential leak sources are pointed out, the measurement is discussed, and a monitoring program is set up. (orig.)

Die Ueberwachung von Raffinerieanlagen auf Lecks kann mit Hilfe eines tragbaren eigensicheren FIDs durchgefuehrt werden, indem die Umgebung gefaehrdeter Anlageteile auf eine erhoehte Kohlenwasserstoffkonzentration in der Luft untersucht wird. Potentielle Leckquellen werden aufgezeigt, die Messmethode erklaert und ein Ueberwachungsplan aufgestellt. (orig.)
