Investigation of time characteristics of explosion wires
- 1. I.V. Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow (USSR)
Description
The results of investigation of Al-wires explosion dynamic on the Mirag accelerator are presented. Experimental setup is shown. The explosion dynamic was investigated by two x-ray frames with time of explosion ∼5 ns. The pinhole diameters were equal to 60-80 μm. The x-ray emission intensity was analyzed by two vacuum photo-emmision diodes with Au-cathodes and set of filters of submicrons thickness in some spectral regions. The x-ray spectra with space resolution along wire axis were obtained by means of crystal spectrographs with flat NH4AP (2d = 26.14 angstrom) and quarts (2d = 8.512 angstrom) crystals and with split placed in front of the crystals. The time integrated x-ray images were recorded with the help of pinhole (d = 15 μm), 35 μm Be-filters and films RF-3
