Effect of repeated application of Pentoxifylline and Dexamethasone on the number of neutrophilic granulocytes in lung tissue

Description
The number of neutrophilic granulocytes in mice (C57BI/6 x DBA/2)F1 was examined 168 days after gamma irradiation of the lung region with 16 Gy and 180 days after irradiation with a dose of 18 Gy. Twice a week the animals were administered Pentoxiphylline (3.5 and 35 mg/kg), Dexamethasone (1 and 10 mg/kg) and their combination ((35 + 10) mg/kg). A significant decrease in the number of neutrophilic granulocytes was observed in all of the animals. The combination of the drugs was particularly efficacious
