Description

A computer code to simulate in 6 phase-space dimensions the dynamics of a high intensity particle beam in a circular accelerator is being created as a collaborative effort of two laboratories. The main and immediate purpose of the code is to study in detail the behavior of the 1 GeV proton accumulator ring for the Spallation Neutron Source to be built at Oak Ridge. The structure of the code and some of the basic guidelines are described
