Magnetic interactions and disorder-phase transitions in dilute spin-glasses and high temperature superconductors

Description

EuxSr1-xS and CuMnx are two examples of spin-glasses. In both cases there are random, quenched and competing interactions between magnetic spins. This competition yields 'frustration' of the spin system. One of the models that was suggested for such systems is the Ising spin glass and in this work we studied its critical properties by using various numerical and analytical methods. We have developed 15th order high temperature series expansions for the study of the critical behavior of the Ising spin glass with nearest neighbor exchange interactions each of which assumes the values ±J randomly.
