Description
As part of a research program on the influence of agricultural practices and main activities on soil content of heavy metals. The present primary work was carried out in order to investigate the feasibility of instrumental neutron activation analysis for this propose. Elements studied were, Fe, Zn, Co, Sc, Sb, As, Cd, Hg and Cr. the soil samples analyzed were from different locations to represent different land uses and types. Results revealed that As, Cd and Hg show a pronounced accumulation in soils especially those exposed to industrial and organic wastes disposal
