Metrological characteristics of surface activation method
Description
Metrological characteristics of surface activation method by accelerated charged particles used for investigation and testing of processes of surface destruction in products (wear, corrosion, etc.) are considered. The relation between mean square deviation, sensitivity, detection limit, resolution abitity and conditions of activation, radiometry and catibration. The potentialities of the method for remote determination of the value of the layer removed are shown using the case of structural steel activation (Fe+p → 56Co, Esub(p)=11.0 MeV). Caiibration curves are presented
