Physical features for using laser plasma as a source of multicharged ions for cyclotrons

Description

The results of investigations of the longitudinal magnetic field effect (up to 1.5T) on ion emission characteristics of plasma produced by laser radiation with wavelength of 10.6 and 1.06 μm and flow density of about 5x109 W/cm2 are given. The charge and energy plasma ion spectra are analyzed. On the basis of the obtained results the effective laser source of multicharged ions is realized ar the JINR cyclotron
