Possibility of stimulation by electromagnetic radiation in winter wheat production

Description

An experiment was carried out using Mitscherlich pots in semicontrolled greenhouse conditions. Before sowing, imbibed winter wheat seeds were exposed to pulsating electromagnetic fields of different frequencies (8, 15, 30 and 72 Hz). Stimulation times were 30, 60 and 90 minutes. Observations were made during the growing season. At full maturity, morphological traits, yield and yield components were finally compared with the control treatment. Plant response to radiation treatment was mostly positive, most notably so in the case of plant height and grain yield per pot. The highest grain yield was obtained in the treatment with 30 Hz stimulation lasting 30 minutes
