Erosion and redeposition processes of molybdenum with oblique incidence of magnetic field
- 1. Nagoya Univ. (Japan)
Description
Erosion and redeposition processes have been investigated using a linear plasma device and a Monte Carlo simulation code. Argon plasmas were irradiated on a molybdenum substrate with an oblique incidence of magnetic field. The erosion distributions depending on the direction of magnetic field are clearly observed. Numerical code analysis gives a qualitative explanation for the erosion profiles by considering the effect of prompt redeposition of high Z material. However, we have still quantitative differences for their erosion and redeposition rates. (author)
