Photovoltaic characteristics of porous silicon /(n+ - p) silicon solar cells

Full text : The purpose of this work is to improve the photovoltaic parameters of the screen-printed silicon solar cells by formation the nano-porous silicon film on the frontal surface of the cell. The photovoltaic characteristics of two type silicon solar cells with and without porous silicon layer were measured and compared. A remarkable increment of short-circuit current density and the efficiency by 48 percent and 20 percent, respectively, have been achieved for PS/(n+ - pSi) solar cell comparing to (n+ - p)Si solar cell without PS layer
