Structure of ponderomotive forces interacting with an electron in the laser fields of relativistic intensity

Description

The expression for the ponderomotive force, interacting with a classic electron in the weakly-nonhomogeneous field of arbitrary intensity, is obtained through the method of averaging by the eigentime of the electron leading center. It is shown that this force in superstrong (relativistic) fields obtains the vortex character and depends on the field polarization. Development of systems of the principally new type for acceleration or confinement of charged particles is possible on the basis of this effect
