Description
A new uranium enrichment facility using laser isotopic separation generates aerosols consisting of Umetal + UO2: with traces of UPON. Results of lung absorption to blood showed that the Umetal + UO2 transportability was appreciably greater than for other industrial forms of UO2. Taking into account the new ICRP human respiratory tract model, the data were used as a basis for assessing the dose coefficient, for the dust sampled at the workplace. (author)
