Considerations concerning dimensioning of steam blowing and exhausting pipes

Description
In order to eliminate the solid impurities from the steam pipes between the steam generator and turbine, in classical and nuclear power plants steam blowing and exhaust gas circuits are used. Some general considerations regarding the dimensioning of these circuits as well as a special proposal based on theoretical elements concerning the steam flowing through the pipes are presented. The results of a calculation example in the case of Cernavoda NPP obtained on these considerations are also given. (authors). 5 figs., 1 tab., 4 refs
