Description
One of the large factors which brought about the excellent results in nuclear power generation is the quality assurance activities at respective stages from design to operation, placing emphasis on the safety and reliability. This guideline describes the fundamentals regarding the quality assurance required for ensuring the safety of nuclear power stations and maintaining the health of general public and workers. Quality assurance program shall be established and executed at respective stages from the design to the operation of nuclear power stations. This guideline is applied to the activities which exert influence on the quality of structures, systems and equipment important for the safety of nuclear power stations. The responsibility of quality assurance program, the quality assurance program, organization, the management regarding documents, design, procurement, materials and equipment, manufacture and installation, inspection and test, operation and maintenance, incompatibility and quality records, the countermeasures for preventing the recurrence of incompatibility and inspection are prescribed.
