Scintillators based on ytterbium chloride adducts with neutral organophosphorus extractants for detecting solar neutrino for LENS (low-energy neutrino spectroscopy) experiment

Description
Main features of ytterbium chloride extraction by dibutyl butylphosphonate (DBBP) and triisoamylphosphine oxide (TIAPO) were studied. Effects of temperature, DBBP and TIAPO concentrations in 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene (TMB) and concentrations of salting-out agents LiCl and NH4Cl and mineral acid (HCl) on ytterbium distribution coefficient were determined. Isotherms of HCl and YbCl3 extraction with 50 % DBBP and TIAPO in TMB were obtained. Composition of extractable complexes of ytterbium chloride with DBBP and TIAPO (S), YbCl3·3S was determined by saturation and dilution methods. Saturation of 50 % solutions of DBBP and TIAPO in TMB with ytterbium chloride was modeled. Two samples of scintillators with ytterbium concentration 90 g/l were prepared and their physical parameters were measured. Stability of the sample properties was tested for 18 months

Изучены основные закономерности экстракции хлорида иттербия дибутилбутилфосфонатом (ДББФ) и триизоамилфосфиноксидом (ТИАФО). Исследовано влияние температуры, концентрации ДББФ и ТИАФО в триметилбензоле (ТМБ), концентрации высаливателей LiCl и NH4Cl и минеральной кислоты (HCl) на коэффициент распределения иттербия. Получены изотермы экстракции HCl и YbCl3 50 % ДББФ и ТИАФО в ТМБ. Методами насыщения и разбавления определены составы экстрагируемых комплексов ДББФ и ТИАФО (S) с хлоридом иттербия - YbCl3·3S. Проведено моделирование процесса насыщения 50 % ДББФ и ТИАФО в ТМБ хлоридом иттербия. Получены два образца сцинтилляторов с концентрацией 90 г/л иттербия. Определены физические параметры полученных образцов сцинтилляторов. Испытана устойчивость свойств полученных образцов в течение 18 месяцевAdditional details
