The techniques employed and the results obtained in studies performed at 'Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares - (IPEN)', Sao Paulo, Brazil, on several radiation - induced industrial processes are described. Processes discussed are : polymerization of ethylene tetrafluoride, induced by gamma radiation; electron disinfection of liquid sludge resulting from wastewater treatment stations; and crosslinking of cable and wire insulation by high energy electron irradiation. Descrevem-se as tecnicas empregadas e os resultados obtidos em estudos realizados no Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares - (IPEN), Sao Paulo, Brasil, sobre varios processos industriais induzidos por radiacao. Os processos discutidos sao: polimerizacao de tetrafluoreto de etileno, induzida por radiacao gama; desinfeccao, por eletrons, de material proveniente de estacoes de tratamento de aguas de esgoto; e 'crosslinking' de isolamento de cabos e fios por irradiacao com eletrons de alta energia.
