Remote feedback stabilization of high-β plasma
Creators
Description
A current-driven rotational instability in a magnetic arc plasma of density 1016 cm−3 is suppressed by a totally remote feedback system. Detection is achieved by transmission or reflection of a 337-μ laser beam, suppression by an oscillating transverse magnetic field.
