Geochronology of final stages of early Proterozoic magmatism in collision suture of the Belomorian-Laplandian series of the Baltic shield

Description
Data on U-Pb dating of final magmatism stages of directly in a collision suture and dating of postconsolidation plagiopegmatites in granulites of the Laplandian series are presented. Large-size fraction zircons showed the concordant age value of 2061±13 million years and those of fine fraction 2055±2 million years. The dating results made it possible to reconstruct the continuity of endogenic events and attach them to certain stages of the proper collision suture, which in its turn testifies to the antidrome-homodrome character of magmatism. 10 refs.; 4 figs.; 1 tab
