Preliminary results on the time resolution of a plastic scintillator neutron counter of large area for neutrons of 16 MeV

Description
The time resolution measurements of a plastic scintillator neutron detector of large area (200x15 cm2) are reported. For neutrons of 16 MeV, obtained with the T(d,n)4He reaction and a solid Ti-T target, the corrected time resolution turns out to be equal to 670 ps, for a proton threshold energy of 10 MeV. (Auth.)
