Post-test calculation of the aerosol experiment KAEVER 187 ISP-44
Description
The results of post-test calculation of the KAEVER 187 experiment with the Macarol 1.8.5 code are presented. This experiment, which was part of the OECD ISP 44 project, was initially calculated as a blind experiment. Comparison with observed data was used to refine the calculation. The extremely high effect of solubility on the aerosol behaviour in the MELCOR model, which disagrees with observations, is the main problem remaining to be explained. A reasonable agreement between the observed and calculated data can be reached by using an insoluble aerosol model in MELCOR
