Optical absorption and electric conductivity in glass-like GdGeAs2

Description
Optical absorption and electric conductivity of glass-like films of CdGeAs2 2x10-5-2x10-2 cm thick prepared by the method of cathode sputtering with the sputtered material deposition on substrates of cover glass were studied. Consideration of optical absorption spectra of CdGeAs2 amorphous films confirmed the existence of two structural states with different types of near order, not depending on sample preparation technique, in the glass-like CdGeAs2. Results of the investigation of the film optical properties agree with data of temperature measurements of their electric conductivity. Amount of the second amorphous phase, as assessments showed, constitutes approximately 5%, which corresponds to the data on the film X-ray diffraction studies
