MARS Input Data for 8% Steady-State Calculation of the ATLAS
Description
An integral effect test loop for pressurized water reactors (PWRs), the ATLAS (Advanced Thermal-hydraulic Test Loop for Accident Simulation), is under construction by Thermal-Hydraulics Safety Research Department in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). This report includes calculation sheets of a 8% steady state input for the best-estimate system analysis code, MARS, based on the detailed design features of the ATLAS. The ATLAS facility has been designed to have a length scale of 1/2 and a area scale of 1/144 compared with the reference plant, the APR1400. The contents of this report are divided into three parts: core and reactor vessel, steam generator and steam line, and primary piping, pressurizer and reactor coolant pump. The 8% steady-state analysis for the ATLAS facility will be performed based on these calculation sheets and its results will be applied to the detailed design of ATLAS. Additionally, the calculation results will contribute to getting optimum test conditions and preliminary operational test conditions for the steady-state and transient experiments
