Field ion microscopic investigations of mass transport in atomic collision cascades
Creators
Description
The method of mass transport measuring in atomic collison cascades based on the use of average depleted zone radius, vacancies concentration in that zone and in the irradiated bulk replacement collision sequences lengths determined by means of a field-ion microscopy is proposed. The mass transport in electrons, protons and heavy ions irradiated tungsten is measured. Satisfactory agreement with previously proposed model of atomic mixing by collision cascade is achieved
