Double giant resonances in nuclei

Description

A brief review of results of microscopic calculations to describe characteristics of the double giant dipole resonances (DGDR) is presented. Special attention is paid to a systematic microscopic study of the anharmonic properties of the DGDR for nuclei with mass number 40 ≤ A ≤ 208. It is found that the corrections of the energy centroid of the DGDR from its harmonic limit are negative, have a value of an order of a new hundred keV and follow an A-1 dependence

Abstract (Russian)

Представлен краткий обзор микроскопических вычислений для описания характеристик двойного гигантского дипольного резонанса (ДГДР). Особое внимание уделено систематическому микроскопическому изучению ангармонических свойств ДГДР для ядер с массовым числом 40 ≤ А ≤ 208. Найдено, что коррекция энергии центроида ДГДР из его гармонического предела отрицательна, имеет величину порядка нескольких кэВ и следует А-1 зависимости
