Description

A review is given on the properties and application of solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD). The track production and visualization are discussed and various methods for the track evaluation are outlined. The application of SSNTD in the fields of dosimetry, medicine and biology, radon monitoring, dating, particle identification and technology is presented. (orig.)

Die Eigenschaften und Anwendungsmoeglichkeiten von Festkoerperspurdetektoren (SSNTD) werden ueberblicksweise dargestellt. Im besonderen werden die Spurenproduktion, deren Sichtbarmachung und die Spurenauswertung genauer realisiert. Die Anwendungen von SSNTD in den Gebieten der Dosimetrie, Medizin und Biologie, der Radonmessung, der Altersbestimmung, des Teilchennachweises und der Technologie werden besprochen. (orig.)
