Description
The anisotropy was measured for the 208.0-59.54 keV gamma cascade in 237Np, corresponding to a positive sign for the M1-E2 mixing ratio of the 208.0 keV transition. The sources were prepared by means of the 238U(e,n) reaction. A discussion on the implication of the present results for the study of hyperfine interactions in neptunium compounds and alloys is included. (orig.)
