Roentgenoluminescence of uranium in alkali-alumino-phosphate glasses

Description
The fluorescence (FL) and the X-ray luminescence (XL) spectra of green alkali-aluminophosphate glass doped with uranium were measured. It is shown that both FL and XL are due to uranyl groups. The energy-level transitions are ascribed to 3PIsub(1u)→1Σsub(g)sup(+). (author)
