Le procede de l'invention qui consiste a effectuer une extraction liquie-liquide entre une phase aqueuse renfermant les sels de ces elements terres rares et une phase organique est caracterise par le fait que l'on met en contact une solution aqueuse de nitrates de terres rares a separer avec une phase organique contenant un agent d'extraction qui est constitue par au moins un compose organophosphinique
