Thickness measurement and control improves plastic pipe production

Brief description of the FMM 24 004 isotopic thickness, mass per unit area and density monitor and its application to monitoring and controlling the production of plastic pipe by extrusion. The source used is americium 241. Experience in use has shown a material saving of 3 -4%. (U.K.)
