Small reactor with natural circulation of the coolant
Creators
Description
A novel small nuclear power station described and shown in model form at the Hannover Fair, included a two-circuit boiling-water reactor with natural circulation of the cooling medium, and had a capacity of 200 - 400 MW. The plant was designed for minimum attendance, easy servicing, ready availability and low costs. The development has resulted in a two-circuit boiling-water reactor based on proved principles and the use of components of conventional design and construction. (A.G.P.)
