High-field MR imaging of stage 1B cervical carcinoma
Creators
Description
In patients with stage IB cervical carcinoma, the selection of optimal therapy depends on precise assessment of the extent of disease before surgery. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential of high-field MR imaging in the detection of early-stage cervical carcinoma and in the assessment of its extent. Thirty-one patients with histologic diagnosis of cervical carcinoma were studied with MR imaging at 1.5-T. All patients were clinically considered to have stage IB disease (FIGO staging) and underwent radical hysterectomy
