Description
Nuclear total reaction cross sections for the P- 12C scattering using Gaussian matter density distribution far the target nucleus within the framework of Glauber multiple scattering model in the energy range 21≥Ep≥ 1840 MeV are calculated. p Same nuclear medium effects, namely, dynamical short range, Pauli, center-of-mass and the phase variation of NN amplitude through nuclear phase shift function up to. second order term are investigated. For comparison, the total nuclear react ian cross section using both relativistic mean field and extended relativistic mean field densities for 12C nucleus using the optical limit approximation is also. determined. Plausible agreement between calculations and measurements are obtained in the whale energy range. Semi-empirical formulae for the variation of the total cross section of NN collision, the ratio of the real to. the imaginary part of the forward NN scattering amplitude, and the slope parameter which determines the fall-of the angular distribution of the NN elastic scattering with antiproton energy are proposed
