Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging in the staging of bronchogenic carcinoma: contributions and limits

Description
The contribution and the limits of CT and MRI in the thoracic and extrathoracic staging of bronchogenic carcinoma are reported. From data of a personal study and of the literature, findings and performances of CT and MRI are reported and compared for the evaluation of mediastinal and parietal extension and in the detection of nodes and metastases. Their respectives places and indications are underlined

On precise l'apport et les limites de la TDM et de l'IRM dans le bilan d'extension thoracique et extrathoracique des cancers primitifs des bronches. A partir d'une serie personnelle et des donnees de la litterature, la semiologie et les performances de la TDM et de l'IRM sont rapportees et comparees pour l'evaluation d'une atteinte mediastinale, parietale, la detection d'adenopathies et la recherche de metastases.
