On radiolysis mechanism of n-perfluorohexane
- 1. AN SSSR, Chernogolovka (Russian Federation). Otdelenie Inst. Khimicheskoj Fiziki
Description
Low radiation-chemcial yield of radicals in n-C6F14 in contrast to hydrocarbon analogue is linked with elimination of stabilizing radicals due to recombination with fluorine atoms resulting from radiolysis on the one hand, and with the absence of fluorine atom break-off by fluorine atoms from perfluorohexane molecule, on the other hand. Signals of trifluoromethyl radical and of radicals resulting from rupture of C-C and C-F bonds, as well, are determined within n-C6F14 spectrum irradiated under 77 K
