Design study of UHV station for processing of 5 MW klystron

  • 1. Central Electronics Engineering Research Inst., Pilani (India)

Description

This paper presents the vacuum aspects for the processing of 5 MW klystron tube which is currently under development at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani, for Centre for Advanced Technology (CAT), Indore. Two types of pumping systems are considered for vacuum processing of the tube. One combination is SIP-TSP-TMP based system and the other is SIP-TSP-CRYO based system. The advantages and disadvantages of both the system are discussed. 3 refs., 3 figs
